Euonymus alatus

This excellent hedge plant has an attractive corky bark,  slightly winged branches and thick, deep green leaves that turn a burning crimson-red color in autumn.

Small yellow flowers in mid-summer are followed by fruit that ranges in color from pink to orange or red. It is low maintenance once established.
