These flowering evergreen shrubs can grow to five-feet tall in warm climates, in northern New Mexico they are definitely indoor plants!
Hibiscus are easy to grow and will bloom often as long as they are:
- placed in a sunny location
- kept warm (not lower than about 60 degrees)
- given a regular and generous water supply (a bit less in winter)
- occasionally misted with a little tepid water
- fed monthly with a mild liquid fertilizer
