Pinus ponderosa

This extremely hardy New Mexico native is distinguished by six inch long, fragrant rich green needles and deeply textured bark. Its form is pyramidal when young, becoming columnar with age. It grows at a moderately fast rate and is an impressive specimen tree.

Payne’s Garden Centers sells native Ponderosa pine that has been legally harvested from nearby forests.
